About Amanda.........

Hi, I’m Amanda.
I’ve been upholstering for 29 years, and run my business Amandas Treasures for 10 years. In that time I’ve worked on everything from traditional furniture restorations to modern reupholstery projects. Upholstery isn’t just my profession, it’s something I genuinely love, and it’s been at the heart of my working life for nearly three decades.
Alongside running my own classes, I also teach in a college setting. That means I’ve supported hundreds of students at every stage of their upholstery journey, from complete beginners to those building professional skills.
And here’s what that experience has taught me:
💁🏻♀️ Learning upholstery can feel overwhelming.
💁🏻♀️ There are so many techniques, tools, fabrics, and processes. It’s easy to get stuck, lose confidence, or feel like you’re the only one struggling with a particular step.
I know exactly where students tend to get stuck, because I see it every year.
I know the frustration of:
Not quite understanding how tight something should be.
Struggling to get neat corners.
Wondering why your fabric doesn’t sit quite right.
Feeling unsure whether you’re doing something correctly.
But.......I also know how to fix those problems!!
Why This Membership Exists
Too often, people turn to YouTube for help, only to find:
The camera doesn’t zoom in on the part you actually need to see.
The explanation skips over important steps.
You’re constantly rewinding and losing your place.
The method shown doesn’t quite match what you’re working on.
It can leave you more confused than when you started, so that’s exactly why I created this space.
Inside my membership, I teach the way I teach in real life.......clearly, patiently, and with close up demonstrations of the details that really matter. I break techniques down into manageable steps and explain not just what to do, but why you’re doing it.
Because once you understand the “why,” everything starts to click.
What You Can Expect From Me
Clear, detailed demonstrations
Honest guidance from someone who’s been doing this for 29 years.
Solutions to the most common upholstery challenges in hobby & business.
Encouragement when things don’t go perfectly the first time, because they very rarely do.
Practical tips that only come from years of hands on experience (and plenty of failures!).
I’ve made the mistakes. I’ve solved the problems. I’ve refined the techniques.
Now I want to help you shortcut the frustration and build real confidence in your skills, whether you want to upholster for yourself or for others.
If you’re ready to learn upholstery properly, with support, structure, and someone who truly understands the learning process you’re in the right place.
I can’t wait to welcome you inside.
Amanda x
